//COLLECTION

The Center for Contemporary Art & Culture is the steward of PNCA's collection and the 1,300+ piece permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Craft.

The Museum collection, representing 75+ years of craft and design works, is strongest in ceramics, particularly mid-century works by artists early in their careers, including Peter Voulkos, Robert Sperry, Patti Warashina, and Frances Senska.

Selected highlights include: ceramics by Gertrud and Otto Natzler, Lucie Rie, Finn Lyngaard, Toshiko Takaezu; wood by Bob Stocksdale; glass by Lino Tagliapietra, Dominic Labino, Ben Moore, Joe Feddersen; textiles by Jack Lenor Larsen, Helen Bitar; jewelry by Kiff Slemmons, Kate Wagle, and Ramona Solberg.

Exhibitions from the collection will be on view in the Center's Collections Studies Lab.

A fully-searchable digital archive of the collection is expected to be on view January of 2017.

And each year a Graduate Candidate from one of the seven graduate programs of PNCA's Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies will be named the artist in residence of the Collections Studies Lab. This artist will work with the objects on hand as well as the Museum's Teaching Collection to curate exhibitions, generate scholarship, and facilitate workshops.
