Curatorial Internship
Title
Curatorial Research Assistant
Responsibilities
The Curatorial Research Assistant offers undergraduate and graduate students (along with recent graduates) a unique opportunity to gain exposure and experience in a research and writing museum environment. This internship will provide support on specific projects under the direction of curatorial staff that is tailored to maximize the intern’s interest and educational background in art history, craft and design.
Qualifications
All applicants must include two writing samples along with an online application form, cover letter and resume. Some art history background or coursework with museum practices is a plus.
Hours
September 1–December 15, 2010

Volunteer & Operations Internship
Title
Volunteer & Operations Coordination Intern
Responsibilities
The Volunteer Program at MoCC manages over 230 volunteers from diverse backgrounds. This internship offers the opportunity to aid in re-development of the volunteer orientation, recruitment, and training program, in addition to providing event support for our annual volunteer appreciation. The operations portion will involve an ongoing archival project, as well as day-to-day administrative work.
This internship offers hands-on practice regarding volunteer program administration and non-profit administration, within a museum setting.
Qualifications
All applicants must include two writing samples along with an online application form, cover letter and resume. Museum studies or coursework in nonprofit/community development is desirable. Applicants should have volunteer experience and an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
